Accountant - Financial Services Firm

The Firm is an independent, privately-owned investment management firm located in Menlo Park. The Accountant will work closely with the Global Controller, and the Wealth Management and Finance teams to serve the firms core investment partners and families in offering a menu of high-touch, quality Family Office Services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing personal finances, including reviewing invoices/bills, processing bill payments, bank reconciliations, cash management and communicating with service providers
  • Assist in developing and producing budgets, monthly financial statements, and reporting packages
  • Complete, as assigned, special projects and ad-hoc requests
  • Collaborate with executive/personal assistants on projects as requested
  • Establish and maintain policies, procedures and controls aligned with industry best practices
  • Exercise discretion, good judgement, and thoughtfulness in handling highly sensitive and confidential matters

Qualifications/Experience
  • Minimum 3 years accounting / bookkeeping experience, preferably in family office or financial services, CPA preferred
  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
  • High level of professionalism and integrity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, Netsuite, and Quickbooks
  • Good sense of humor, ability to adapt to change, no job too small attitude
Education
  • Minimum BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field
